About Us

 

We are Eco Policy, the index that is dedicated to rank and grade how committed the U.S Senators and Representatives are to our environment. Our index offers a clear and data-based evaluation of the level of activity and effectiveness of each policy maker in combating climate change.

How We Rank

Our ranking system is carefully crafted to accurately represent the influence every member of the U.S Congress has on our environment. We grade and rank carefully based on different factors, such as: 

The Sponsorship/Co-Sponsorship of the Bills

We examine how many bills each policy-maker has sponsored or co-sponsored, as well as their importance and influence. 

Success in Passing Laws

In addition to the sponsorship, we monitor the effectiveness of these plans. We judge the number of bills that were proposed and approved.

The Impact and Influence

 

We look at the overall impacts of the laws, considering factors like how much they help protect the environment, their ability to create lasting effects, and the impact they have on future laws and rules

Why It Matters

 

The signs of climate change are getting worse daily, highlighting the urgent need for immediate action to prevent a future of pollution and risk. In order to address this escalating crisis, it is imperative for us to come together and implement firm measures. Varsha is a junior at Foothill High School and is the project lead. She loves Legos, especially polar bear ones, and she wants to go visit Old Faithful in Yellowstone

Siqi is a junior at Dublin High School and is a coder. She is level 3000+ on candy crush, and has always wanted to go to Yosemite to see the half dome.

Yiheng is a junior at Foothill High School and head writer. He is level 0 on candy crush, and wants to go to Hawaii to see the volcanoes national park.

 Indira is an 8th grader at Pleasanton Middle School and is the artistic director. She likes finding collectables to display in her room and wants to go to Pinnacles to see the ring-tailed lemurs.
